Autumn TV and Film Work

Autumn TV and Film Work

With bad weather drawing in, it’s lucky that there’s cool things to watch on TV and Rubicon are often approached to find action sports performers. In October we were lucky enough to help two exciting projects.

feel good fictionFeel Good Fiction are currently producing a short for BBC Learning and the European Broadcasting Union. The film is about an autistic girl and how she deals with the world around her. One of the things that is a big part of her life is skateboarding. They were looking not only for a stunt co-ordinator but a stunt double for the lead actress, as well as some background extras. The film is part of the EBU scheme which means it’s shown all over the world to children aged 6-11 and used as part of our national curriculum to teach children about tolerance so lots of air time!

wildfire tvWildfire TV are working on a documentary about children at play and those who have taken up skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX or scootering recently. Emphasis is on seeing the city through their eyes and from their height (using a headcam) – and that whilst cities may not be designed with children in mind, kids will always find a way to play. The documentary is very much about play in the 21st century.

What a month!
